The video game Far Cry takes the concepts of shooting, action, and adventure to a new level, particularly in terms of combat. The game’s protagonist, Jack Carver, is a sailor who regrets ever stepping foot on the island where the game is set. A group of unknown soldiers began to attack Jack’s boat with heavy weapons, which left him stranded on the island. Jack now must navigate the wilderness, facing off against a team of hired soldiers, armed with nothing more than his rifle and his own intelligence. To make things worse, Jack’s boat has been destroyed, his funds are depleted, and Valerie, an important ally, has vanished without a trace. Eventually, Jack meets someone within the mercenary group who reveals their true motivations.
